Our
Impact
REACH is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Since our inception in 1998, the financial contributions from the REACH Charitable Funds have been directed to various Milwaukee organizations that focus on making our community a healthier, more vital place to live.
Current Charities
Pathfinders
Pathfinders represent one of Wisconsin’s oldest and most effective nonprofit organizations serving youth in crisis. Our low-barrier, innovative services support youth to find safety, hope, and healing. Pathfinders serve about 7,000 youth each year. Nearly 1,000 of these youth access intensive services and more than 25% utilize two or more programs.
Blessings In a Backpack
Blessings in a Backpack mobilizes communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends for school-aged children across America who might otherwise go hungry. Every school-aged child in America has the nourishment needed to learn and grow. As a leader in the movement to end childhood hunger, Blessings in a Backpack strives to ensure children do not go hungry on the weekends by empowering individuals and communities to take action.
All-In Milwaukee
All-In Milwaukee is a coordinated collaboration of students, families, pathway partners, universities, advisors, and donor partners committed to providing comprehensive support including maximized financial aid, customized advising, and career readiness to ensure limited-income students complete college and matriculate into the Milwaukee workforce.
Giving Philosophy
REACH supports organizations that are creative in their ways to provide services and places to allow children and families to feel safe, grow educationally and get the support needed to succeed in life in southeast Wisconsin.
Our intent is to have a significant impact on smaller organizations that may sometimes be overlooked by larger foundations and programs.
Charitable Giving Program
REACH's Charitable Giving Program provides $12,500 annually for three years to three local non-profit organizations. An organization is traditionally selected in October of the current year, and begins receiving funds in January of the following year. The application window for the program is typically open from mid-June to mid-August.
Each year REACH contributes over $45,000 to local charities that are working to enhance the lives of children. It is strongly encouraged that commercial real estate professionals nominate local charities that would benefit from our partnership and investment. Charities are also welcome to apply on their own behalf.
To nominate a charity, please review the program's criteria and submit an application, when available, with the corresponding materials to REACH. To date, REACH has donated over three-quarters of a million dollars to local charities and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Members of the commercial real estate industry care passionately about contributing to the health and well-being of our community through the support of local organizations, predominately those focused on families, women, and/or youth.
Current recipients of the Charitable Giving Program include All-In-Milwaukee, Blessings in a Backpack - Waukesha Chapter, and Pathfinders Milwaukee.
High IMPACT Grant
The REACH High Impact Grant is a small grant program of the Real Estate Alliance for Charity. It is designed for quick response to one-time needs and opportunities in our community. Grants of up to $5,000 may be made for eligible projects and activities. Applications are reviewed by the board on an as-required basis.
